Will Polyester/Spandex shrink?

I have a dress that is a little big. It's by Max&Cleo and its 96% Polyester and 4% Spandex. Is there a way I can get it to shrink. When I put my jeans in the dryer they tighter a little. I know they are different fabrics but will it work on my dress or do I need to find another way. Thanks for your help, it is greatly appreciated.
