When using a sling shot, where am I 'sighting' ?

My daughter decided she wants to take up a slingshot. Great! However Ive not used one...Shes 5, please,no "oh! shes too little's" ...Ive found a smaller one for her but am having trouble showing her how to aim... looking through the 'V' ...top middle, lower middle...thanks !
