Why are Central Asians often forgotten?

Probably b/c when most people here the world Asia they think Japan, China, Korea, and South east Asia[Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, etc] I bet a lot of people don't even know what countries are considered Central Asia[Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, etc]. Actually I think they are kinda fortunate to be less known about b/c you know how stupid people can be[They probably just think of the girls as "mean" or "sluts" b/c they're pretty*-*]
