My guy friend will be leaving for the seminary soon..?

My friend will be leaving for the seminary soon. I recently found out that I can't hang out with him one on one. At first I was a little upset, because both of us weren't expecting this. We thought we would have until September to hang out. So he knows that this has been bothering me, but I do respect his decision about the priesthood. I finally sent him an E-Mail telling him that I'm not going to let this bother me anymore. That was about a week ago. I haven't heard from him. He told me that I can call him anytime, but I always think that I'm bothering him (even though I'm not). Do you think he's mad at me? I don't know how to take it. Please help me out with your opinions. Thanks!! :)
